چکیده

Methods Children presenting to our neurovascular service and who had had cerebral and renal angiography, other than those with a final diagnosis of vasculitis, were eligible for inclusion. Cerebrovascular disease was categorized MM or other occlusive cerebrovascular disease (OCVD) using standard definitions. Case notes, imaging reports and renal angiograms were retrospectively reviewed. Hypertension (HT) was defined as ≥3 systolic blood pressure (SBP) readings ≥95th percentile.

Clinical and Imaging Characteristics of Arteriopathy Subtypes in Children with Arterial Ischemic Stroke: Results of the VIPS Study.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Childhood arteriopathies are rare but heterogenous, and difficult to diagnose and classify, especially by nonexperts. We quantified clinical and imaging characteristics associated with childhood arteriopathy subtypes to facilitate their diagnosis and classification in research and clinical settings. Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Moyamoya Disease

Moyamoya disease is an occlusive intracranial arteriopathy owing to intimal hyperplasia with formation of abnormal cerebrovascular collateral networks; however, the etiology remains unclear. Although this disease is known to be associated with renovascular hypertension, it is extremely rare for it to be associated with stenoses of the coronary arteries. We herein described a case of a 56-year-o...

Nonprogressive Unilateral Intracranial Arteriopathy in Children with Arterial Ischemic Stroke

The nonprogressive unilateral intracranial arteriopathy known as transient (focal) cerebral arteriopathy is not a well-recognized arteriopathy among practitioners of Korea and Japan, although it cannot be easily differentiated from early moyamoya disease. This review summarizes the nomenclature, pathophysiology, diagnostic evaluation, clinico-radiological features, and management of nonprogress...

Predictors of cerebral arteriopathy in children with arterial ischemic stroke: results of the International Pediatric Stroke Study.

BACKGROUND Cerebral arteriopathies, including an idiopathic focal cerebral arteriopathy of childhood (FCA), are common in children with arterial ischemic stroke and strongly predictive of recurrence. To better understand these lesions, we measured predictors of arteriopathy within a large international series of children with arterial ischemic stroke. METHODS AND RESULTS Between January 2003 ...
